Biography

Yanhe’s Mandarin VOCALOID3 library was released on 11 July 2013, making her one of the early Chinese VOCALOID singers following Luo Tianyi. Her publicly credited voice provider is actor Liu Seira, also known as 劉セイラ / Seira Ryu, who confirmed the work in Yamaha’s twentieth-anniversary messages. Vsinger portrays Yanhe as a short-haired scroll-keyboard player with both spirited and gentle qualities. That is the stage persona; Liu Seira supplied the actual voice recordings. [1] [11] [5]

On 21 March 2015, ilem uploaded 普通DISCO, a duet by Yanhe and Luo Tianyi, to Bilibili. The original work presents the two virtual singers while the composition and video are the creator’s work. Such productions extend Yanhe’s repertoire beyond vendor demonstrations and make collaborations between synthesized singers part of Chinese online music publishing. [9]

She also participated in group stage productions. BML-VR × Vsinger Live took place at Shanghai’s Mercedes-Benz Arena on 20 July 2018; its announcement and subsequent official replay both identify Yanhe among the six Vsinger performers. The concert connects a voice library used by individual song makers with a jointly programmed virtual-singer performance. [6] [7]

Yamaha’s store began selling VOCALOID5 Yanhe on 26 April 2023. Planned and released by Shanghai Henian, the product contains Qing (Normal) and Mu (Sweet), offering contrasting timbres for music production. Yamaha showcases it with 心音盒 and specifies that it uses a conventional VOCALOID track in VOCALOID6 rather than being a VOCALOID AI library. [3] [10]

A distinct AI product line is also documented. Vsinger’s 11 September 2024 notice gives paid ACE Studio members a way to redeem and unlock its six singers, including Yanhe. Her history therefore includes conventional VOCALOID products as well as ACE Studio AI singing products. Here AI denotes vocal synthesis used in human-led music production, not independent composition or self-directed operation by the character. [8]
