Biography

Created by Sidus Studio X in 2020, Rozy initially worked as a realistic virtual influencer and advertising model. A signed 2021 Korea.net feature documents collaborations with Shinhan Life, Calvin Klein, Hera and W.Concept, placing a commercial character project before her recording debut. The article’s in-character “interview” and eternally-22 persona are fictional presentation, not evidence of a human life or autonomous consciousness. [1]

On February 22, 2022, Rozy released Who Am I, moving from visual promotion into recorded music. Release-day reporting identifies it as MUSIC VINE’s first music project, with producer Vanilla Man (Jeong Jae-won); Apple Music independently lists the same release date. Being a virtual model does not itself establish a singing career: this verifiable recording is the starting point for the musical activity covered here. [2] [3]

Who Am I is a mid-tempo ballad about identity, told through the virtual character’s first-person narrative. Its release description connects being watched and defined by others with listeners’ uncertainty about themselves. [6] [2]

The speaking voice has a separate technical record. On May 6, 2022, Naver announced that Sidus Studio X selected a voice suited to the persona and Clova’s NES speech synthesis turned it into an AI voice. The announcement scheduled its unveiling on SBS Power FM’s 두시탈출 컬투쇼 for May 8. It documents a synthesis partnership and broadcast plan, not fully autonomous on-air conversation or the vocal workflow of the February recording. [5]

The TO THE SEA (바다 가자) EP followed on June 26. Apple Music lists four tracks; Genie identifies the title song, I’m Different and their two instrumentals. Four tracks should therefore not be described as four new songs.
