PLAVE

Biography

PLAVE is a five-member virtual boy group produced by VLAST, comprising YEJUN, NOAH, BAMBY, EUNHO and HAMIN. Its first single album ASTERUM, released on March 12, 2023, contains Wait for you, Pixel world and an instrumental. The official profile identifies lyrics, composition and choreography among the members’ creative contributions. [1] [4]

The act combines human performance with animated avatars. In a 2024 ABC interview, VLAST chief financial officer Kevin Chai described people controlling the characters through motion capture to perform and converse with fans in real time. Their images can also be transmitted into physical venues. This immediacy comes from performers working with a production system, rather than five autonomous AIs. [2]

Following Why? and the first mini album Asterum : The Shape of Things to Come in 2023, PLAVE released ASTERUM : 134-1 on February 26, 2024. Its six tracks include WAY 4 LUV, Virtual Idol and the previously released Merry PLLIstmas, connecting individual singles with a larger album sequence. [5] [6]

The Japanese releases formed a distinct phase in 2025. The first Japanese single, かくれんぼ, arrived digitally on June 16 with an original Japanese title song and Japanese versions of RIZZ and Chroma Drift. The product announcement separately gives July 9 for the CD edition. [7] [8]

The official catalogue consulted on October 20, 2026 lists later releases including 2025’s Caligo Pt.1, 2026’s Caligo Pt.2 and the fifth mini album HYPERDRIVE, dated October 13. The latter contains GGUN, Sweet Rain, Star Trace, The Answer Is Yes and Rewind, extending the recorded career beyond the initial ASTERUM series. [5] [9]

Japanese digital and CD dates are distinguished. The 2026 releases follow the catalogue consulted on the review date; Caligo Pt.2 has a day-level discrepancy between that catalogue and an earlier announcement, so only its year is stated. Production evidence comes from a 2024 interview and is not extended to every later programme. Tours and awards have not been exhaustively checked.
