Biography

nævis began as a guide in aespa’s music-project storyworld, with the fictional ability to open a P.O.S between reality and KWANGYA. SM’s Virtual IP Center subsequently developed her as a standalone artist. Her musical participation predates 2024: aespa’s 2023 Welcome To MY World credits her as a featured artist, including in SMTOWN’s official video. Those concrete music activities establish the scope of this entry, while the fictional role remains separate from production history. [3] [4] [2] [7]

In June 2024 she appeared at aespa’s SYNK : PARALLEL LINE concert, where part of Done was shown before its official release. Official web and social channels and character teasers followed in August; the complete single and video arrived September 10. The debut date here means her standalone recording debut, not the character’s first appearance, and does not erase the 2023 feature. [3] [1] [5]

Done frames a departure from a restrictive digital space as a journey toward freedom. The Birth of naevis and naevis Origin Story supplied accompanying narrative films. SM describes a flexible character whose appearance can adapt to platforms through hyperreal VFX, cartoon and 3D forms. Release material describes AI voice and generative-AI content, while naming JENS DUVSJÖ, ALMA GOODMAN and KLARA ELIAS as Done’s writers and composers and SM Virtual IP Center as the production department. A synthetic voice does not establish autonomous songwriting or remove human composition, recording and sound-production work. Her presentation also reached exhibition spaces. In November 2024, SMTOWN Japan described her participation in MUUUSE, the music-experience exhibition organized by TOKYO NODE and J-WAVE, and announced a ScreaM Records Done remix for its December second phase. Music catalogues subsequently record Done (IMLAY & 2Spade Remix), released December 20. Her second original single, Sensitive, was previewed at SMTOWN LIVE 2025 in Seoul before the recording and music video were released on August 7, 2025. The funk-influenced pop-dance track continues the story of encountering new sensations in reality. Consulted release material includes Korean lyrics, so the language field now lists Korean alongside English. Her official site also calls it the second single.
