Isegye Idol

Biography

Isegye Idol grew from creator Woowakgood’s virtual-idol audition project in summer 2021. The debut release notes identify the six selected members as Ine, Jingburger, Lilpa, Jururu, Gosegu and Viichan, and describe auditions and activities taking place in virtual spaces. They formed as a public-performance project, with characters and settings supporting music and audience interaction, rather than being extracted from an established anime or film. [3]

RE : WIND marked the recording debut on December 17, 2021. Its release lists J Major as production company, the six public member names as vocalists, and Young_Vibe as composer and arranger, alongside drum, bass, guitar and piano credits. The band-based song connects the virtual presentation with identifiable human musical work and singing. [3]

The second single, 겨울봄 (Winter Spring), arrived on March 11, 2022 as a ballad composed by Moon Kim and Seo Jieun. By KIDDING, released August 18, 2023, the release notes described a move into K-pop girl-group music and named writers including Lee Taehun, 9june9 and Perrie. These recordings trace an expansion from band textures through ballad writing toward dance-pop. [4] [5]

The music also reached audiences at physical events. Notes for the 2023 release 이세계 페스티벌 document OVER and Superhero being unveiled at the group’s first offline concert before appearing on the record with instrumentals. This establishes a connection between performed repertoire and recording releases. [6]

Stargazers, released May 18, 2025, contains Stargazers, ELEVATE and MEMORY plus their three instrumentals. Genie’s subsequent feature published music-video concepts, idea notes and coverage of the completed 이세계 페스티벌 2025, where the three songs premiered. The credits name different writers, including ko.yo, u32, Jere Särkkä and Anna Timgren, documenting the teams behind the repertoire. [7] [8]

The November 3, 2025 release Be My Light added a J-rock direction combining piano, band sound and strings, alongside the electronic rhythms and rap of Nameless. Smile For You followed on June 19, 2026 as a fan-oriented special single built around acoustic guitar and a mid-tempo ballad; Gosegu and Viichan appear among its lyricists. [9] [10]

The former August 26, 2021 formation day relied on a secondary encyclopedia; this revision uses the year supported by the release notes and separates the summer audition from recording debut. Older encyclopedia and video sources are retained, but works link to specific releases; current playback of the old video is unverified. Early album notes and current song pages differ in lyric credits, so no sole-author conclusion is made. Individual capture pipelines, every concert and cinema edition remain unaudited; no private identities are inferred.
